Camp Showing Yet to Yield Offer

A late bloomer, Rico Bell burst onto the recruiting scene in early June following a few solid combine performances. After Virginia opened up the gates with a scholarship offer, three other schools have since tendered Bell – Maryland, Boston College, and Tennessee.

This past weekend, Bell, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback from Charlotte (N.C.) Vance, hoped to added another scholarship offer to his pile when he attended Virginia Tech's one-day camp.

"It went alright," said Bell. "I think I did alright. They didn't offer me, yet. He said he wanted me to go down for an official visit and that he was going to come down and see me play."

Bell plans to take the Hokies up on their offer to officially visit. Additionally, Bell has two other schools in mind for official trips.

"I also want to take official visits to N.C. State and Virginia," said Bell. "I like all three of those schools those. I don't know, I guess it's because those are the only schools I've visited so far. I mean I like all their coaching staffs."

If Bell doesn't go out of town this weekend, he will attend North Carolina's one-day camp Saturday. Before camping in Blacksburg, Bell camped at N.C. State and is waiting to hear back from the Wolfpack coaching staff.
