"We stayed at a Marriott Hotel, went out to eat with the coaches and a few of the players, tour the facilities, learned about the academics, and just hung out with the players."
Adams, a 5-foot-11 170-pound tailback from Cary (N.C.), will continue this weekend with an official visit to Maryland followed by a trip to N.C. State. Originally, Adams had planned to officially visit both North Carolina and LSU, but those trips might never materialize.
"As of right now I only have those three [scheduled official visits]," said Adams. "I was talking to Carolina, and their situation is they're about booked with scholarships. Coach [Ken] Browning said he'd keep me updated with their situation. He suggests that I get all four [of my official visits] in and leave [UNC] at the end and he'll let me know.
"I haven't talked to LSU in a few weeks. I've left messages with them, a couple emails, and they just haven't gotten back with me. I don't know what's going on with that situation."
Despite the new developments, Adams hasn't eliminated anyone from his final five schools.
"I don't have any favorites," said Adams. "I'm just really seeing where I fit in, and where I feel most comfortable with my surroundings, my coaching staff, and my players."
Adams will announce his decision on Signing Day.
