Keeping things very close to the vest, Josh Adams finally made a commitment today, and the three-star running back from cary (N.C.) is staying in-state going to Wake Forest.
"I am a part of the Deamon Deacon family," Adams said with a laugh, adding that there was a lot of reasons to making the decision. "Really what they had to offer as far as academics, it is one of the best schools in the country. The (running back) position coach is very experienced and I feel that I can get a lot of playing time or at least I will have a good chance. On top of that, I am very superstitious, and of all the official visits I took it was Wake that played in all of them, so I took that as a sign."
In the end, the location for Wake Forest put the Deacs over NC State.
"I felt I needed to get away from this area. I felt comfortable on my visit (at NC State), but I felt that if I want to mature, grow up, in addition to pursuing a business degree, I need to be a little further away from home."
During his senior year, Adams rushed for 2,688 yards and 29 touchdowns.
