The Wildcats offer marks his first out-of-state tender, but according to Dembry location won't make a difference as he "can travel if that's what it comes to."
Right now, Dembry lacks a leader, but is strongly looking at his three offering schools, as well as boyhood favorite North Carolina.
"I don't really have a leader," said Dembry. "North Carolina is up there, N.C. State is still up there, [and] ECU and Kentucky are up there. It's all equal [between those four aforementioned schools]."
After unofficially visiting North Carolina, N.C. State, and Auburn earlier in the month, Dembry and his teammates have taken a break from campus visits. However, that break ends this weekend when he attends the Tar Heels' spring game.
Over the summer, Dembry figures to include camps at Virginia, North Carolina, and N.C. State among his plans.
For Ahoskie (N.C.) Hertford County, Dembry stars at quarterback, but the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is mostly being recruited as an athlete with an emphasis on wide receiver.
At Scout.com's All-American Combine in Durham, Dembry ran the 40-yard dash in 4.87 seconds, 20-yard shuttle in 4.56 seconds, and L-cone drill in 7.81 seconds. He also broad jumped 9'8".
