Left in a daze from the new offers, McNeil lacks any true favorites, but one local school has caught his attention after unofficially visiting the campus.
"I like East Carolina," said McNeil. "A lot of players from my team went there. They have a good environment up there."
McNeil hasn't visited any other campus besides his trip to Greenville for the Pirates' junior day, but he plans to camp at Virginia Tech, N.C. State, and North Carolina over the summer.
At Scout.com's All-American Combine, McNeil didn't time so well, but looked impressive in drills. After checking in at 6-foot-1 and 233 pounds, McNeil clocked a solid 20-yard shuttle time of 4.23 seconds, but then ran a modest 5.03-second 40-yard dash. He also broad jumped 9'2".
Last weekend in Snow Hill (N.C.), McNeil bettered his 40-yard dash time during the Shrine Bowl Combine with a 4.74-second run. He also benched 185 pounds ten times, and vertically jumped 26.3 inches.
As a junior at Elizabeth City (N.C.) Northeastern, McNeil rushed for 2,521 yards and 31 touchdowns.
