Both teams are stacked on offense. East Gaston's QB Stephan McQuage has a great backfield behind him in top area WR Michael McDowell, RBs Jas Hopkins, Darius Abernathy and WR Marquis Sanders. Hunter Huss also has a strong backfield anchored by QB Brandon Miller, RB Austin Hunnicutt, SL Darius Antrum and WRs Brandon Jefferies and Donterious Hughes.
The Warriors lost to the Huskies last year by a score of 20-19. However, the Huskies have not beaten the Warriors at Huss since 2000, likewise the Warriors have not beaten Huss at East Gaston since 1999. This game will be at Hunter Huss. Could this game have a different outcome with the home team walking away the winner?
The defenses will also play a role in this game.
Both teams feel that this is their best shot at winning the conference championship. The Huskies were just four points away from having it last year. However, Crest (also undefeated in conference play) will have something to say about who gets the conference title in a couple of weeks from now as they play Hunter Huss and then travel to East Gaston the following week.
The two will square off at 7:30.
