Mobley Announced As Community Captain

CHARLOTTE,N.C. --- The Carolina Panthers have selected LJ Mobley, Jr., a senior wide receiver at Union Comprehensive High School (Union, SC), as a 2006 Carolina Panthers Community Captain.

The Carolina Panthers Community Captain program recognizes high school student-athletes in North and South Carolina who excel in the classroom, in the community and on the football field. The program is designed to recognize outstanding young leaders and to encourage their future development as role models while they continue their personal growth in college and in their professional careers.

"LJ was always a positive role model for the youth and was an asset to the group as well as myself," said Alena Hogan Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Coordinator for Union County.

LJ Mobley, Jr., leads by example at all times. This Carolina Panthers Community Captain and future difference maker commented "I choose to put everything I have into my schoolwork, football, and becoming the type of young man that my mother and sisters raised me to be: honest, hardworking, humble, respectful, compassionate, appreciative, gracious, and most of all alcohol and drug free."
