2007 High School Coach of the Week

Every year since 1997, the Carolina Panthers have honored high school football coaches through the Coach of the Week (COW) program. Members of the media in North and South Carolina are encouraged to nominate varsity coaches in their area. The Panthers will select a coach for each week of the high school football season.

Each winning coach will receive Panthers memorabilia and a $1,000 donation from the Panthers and the National Football League for the school's athletic program. All head coaches in the Carolinas are eligible regardless of their school's size, league, or division. Coaches are evaluated on such factors as the coach's impact on his team, school, and community.

Previous coach of the week winners may not be nominated.

All of this year's winners will be honored with an on-field presentation during the Panthers home game versus the Seattle Seahawks on December 16. At that time, the 2007 Coach of the Year will be announced, and the winning coach will receive an additional $2,000 for his school's athletic department.

If you think that your high school coach is worthy of being named a Carolina Panthers Coach of the Week, please inform the school's athletic director or local media contact of the program. Athletic Directors can click here for the nomination form. Members of the media can click here. Note: Only high school athletic directors and media sources may make nominations.

While there is no deadline for coach of the week nominations, we strongly encourage and request that you submit applications as soon as possible to increase your coach's chances at winning this prestigious award.
