While Lakota West High School has been making a name with some top recruits in the last couple of years. One player who has been a starter for the last three has gone under the radar. While the player understands why this has happend, its not stoped him from working hard and several schools have taken notice.

With our commitment in covering all players with a chance to play college football, today we look at a young man that is getting some looks despite his lack of height.

When looking at college programs you always come across a player who just doesn't fit the basic profile. One player who could add to these numbers is Brandon Poston from Lakota West High School.

Brandon is seen great interest from some DI and lower level schools. Western Kentucky, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Ohio University and Youngstown State have all shown great interest in Brandon and his height hasn't been an issue.

Brandon's numbers are 6'0 - 265lbs, he benches 325lbs and squats 540lbs. Brandon has become a leader for Coach Larry Cox and was named team captain for the 2003 season.

Why has Brandon been able to overcome an area that kills many recruits? Work Ethic! plain and simple, many programs have seen his play and heard that he is a endless worker. It also helps when players around you are getting looks by many top programs and you play a great schedule. The other factor is grades. At this time Brandon is carrying a B average and working on doing better.

Brandon has visited several schools in the last month and looking to see more.

OhioPrepScene would like to thank Brandon's father for his time in helping us learn more about this young man.
