BEING MISSED?

When OhioPrepScene started in Dec of 2002 one of the first players who we profiled was a unknown OL from Dover High School. Chauncey Incarnato told us then and tells us now don't forget I have some really good teammates who can play. One of these teammates we had a chance to see some film and we agree with Chauncey, he can play.

While most of the talk around the Dover High School program has centered around Chauncey Incarnato, we at OhioPrepScene feels a few other players need some serious looks.

One such player is David Filippi a 6'3 225 lb. Linebacker. This summer David has shown great upside in his quest to receive a college scholarship playing football.

Daivd had a great camp at Ohio State and saw many college coaches take interest in his performance. He was honored with an Outstanding Player award during camp. OSU had 200 linebackers at the past camp.

What David offers is a hard nosed find the ball linebacker. In watching tape of David we saw that he made sure tackles and was able to separate from lineman crashing down. David also has very good speed having been timed in the forty at 4.7. His last max saw a 325 lb. bench along with a 500 lb. squat.

After the OSU camp David was headed to Florida and a visit at Central Florida University. At this time most MAC schools and a few mid-majors have taken noticed of this up and coming linebacker.

Stay with OhioPrepScene for more on David Filippi along with another Dover High School teammate making a name.
