In what can be say as a surprise. West Virginia University has picked up another talent from the Buckeye State. This year more players from Ohio have been missed by the so-called experts and had the chance to give early verbals to some up and coming programs.

In Ohio mention the name Massillon and people think of one thing. FOOTBALL!!!! No other school in Ohio has the history and tradition as the Massillon Tigers. Pride in this small town starts with a birth of a newborn boy. The proud parents are given the child's first football at the hospital.

When talking tradition, how many high school programs can say they had a football legend (Paul Brown) as head coach. A member of Notre Dame's Four Horsemen (Harry Stuhldreher) and one of the toughest and best known high school players in the country in former Ohio State and NFL player Chris Spielman. Only Massillon!

Today another in the great line of Tigers is looking to make a name for himself. Billy Relford a hard hitting defensive back has been working hard to put his name along the sides of the many before him. Today is the start of his journey. The 5'8 165 lb DB has given a verbal to West Virginia University.

While many may look at his height, OhioPrepScene will tell you this young man makes up for the lack of it. With hard hits and all out hustle Billy has become a leader and top performer for the Tigers. Billy plays against some of the best teams in the state of Ohio, year in, and year out. Taking the next step will not be a hard one for this young man.

Billy Relford is another example of the talent in the Buckeye state. OhioPrepScene has Billy high on its list of players to watch in 2003. By giving this verbal Billy will now work towards the goal of winning a state championship.

OhioPrepScene is working to get more information on this young man and will share it as soon as possible.
