Three Ohio soccer players seem to like the old saying "there's no place like home" and chose to stay in the Buckeye state, choosing to commit to Ohio State. Linsay Mays of Dublin Scioto, Jessica Roberts of Strongsville, and Keiana Mitchell of Cincinnati Country Day, have committed to play soccer in 2004 At OSU.
Mays a forward/midfielder chose OSU over Florida, Indiana and Michigan State among others. She is currently foregoing her senior year of high school soccer to compete for her club team this fall, the highly successful Ohio Premiere club. Roberts, midfielder/defender, a member of the 2002 Ohio state champion Strongsville High, and 2002 Cleveland Plain Dealer Player of the Year, has also comittted to the Buckeyes. Keiana Mitchell of CCD,defender, was the latest commitment to the Buckeyes. Keiana chose the Buckeyes over Notre Dame, Kentucky, Mizzou, Illinois, and others. All three players have extensive ODP experience on the state and regional level. With these commitments, the Buckeyes look to strenghthen their position in the Big Ten. The Buckeyes are the current Big Ten Tournament champions and followed that with a postseason NCAA appearance in 2003.
