Whitehall will have to use their speed and athleticism to their advantage to battle through this region. The big names on this team are QB David Wess and ATH Dre Ratliff (brother of UF star Keiwan Ratliff). Wess, an all district QB, is a QB who can beat you with his feet or his arm. He makes plays and he's got a handful of capable receivers to catch that ball (Matt Angle, Jared Stace, Will Dotson, Chris Webb). Angle was a 1st Team District selection last year. RB Allen Smith is another threat for the Rams. He splits times at FB and RB with Dre Ratliff. Both can run over you or hit the corner and race down the sidelines. They have 8 starters back on offense, but the big question mark will be the play of an inexperienced line.
The defense returns 7 starters and you can pretty much say 8 as they received a nice gift when they found out Kaz Bailey was moving in from Georgia. Bailey is a mean ILB standing 5'11 253 and hits like a truck. They have senior Kyle Lyons clogging the middle on the defensive line and can feel safe with Dre Ratliff and Matt Angle in the secondary.
The strong points for this years version of the Rams is the speed and athleticism of the team. A solid coaching staff should get the most out of these guys. Weak poins the Rams will have to overcome is inexperience on the lines and a lack of depth.
I see the Rams going 6-4 at worst and 9-1 at best. They should qualify for playoffs and could make some noise in Division II.
