Why has a top player left school and transfered? Many questions are still to be asked, but this is what we have.

Ohio's top junior football recruit is headed to Cleveland. Glenville that is. With problems at Mansfield Senior, Jamario O'Neal has left the school and is reported to be transferring to Cleveland Glenville High School. Glenville is the home of Ohio's top senior recruit Ted Ginn Jr.

In published reports O'Neal had some personal problems off the field and was suspended for the teams first two games of 2003 for violation team policy. It is believed that O'Neal was charged with a theft of a CD player from a car outside a Mall. Details are still in the air as to the charges and what they will mean to the talented athlete.

Mansfield Senior opened the 2003 season with a 56-6 win on Friday night. Glenville lost its opener 36-8 to Mentor. O'Neal turned in his football equipment on Monday to Coach LeRoy Smith and told the coach and school he was leaving.

It's unclear on when O'Neal will be able to play for Glenville, with the OHSAA transfer rules in place. At this time its unclear if the family is moving or how O'Neal is planning to attend Glenville at this late date.
