Bubba Walther Down To Two

Cincinnati Moeller combo guard Bubba Walther has narrowed his college choices down to two schools.

"I'm down to Akron or Winthrop," said the smooth guard as I spoke with him after the Josh Duncan press conference.  "I'm going to Akron tomorrow," and then we'll make a decision.

Walther is a 6'2 combo guard that shoots with range.  He can play the game at different paces and continues to work on his ball handling and quickness.  Bubba has always been one of my personal favorites for his competitive nature during AAU games.  Eastern Michigan, Furman, and Austin Peay had also offered the talented Walther, but he likes Akron and Winthrop!&nb! sp; "They always go to the dance," Walther said of Greg Marshall's Winthrop team where local player Pierre Wooten had such great success.  "Akron is a lot closer, and we know the MAC," said Walther.  Either way, Walther will be a great addition to one of these programs!
