One of the states top LB's is almost unknown to many who follow Ohio recruiting. It has not stoped many colleges in keeping in contact during the contact period this month.

David Filippi has been building a resume during the last two seasons. This year he's off to a fast start as Dover High School got its third win to start the 2003 season. One reason for the fast start is the play of the three DI prospects on the team. While many know about Chauncey Incarnato and his verbal to Notre Dame other have been taking many looks at Shawn Donaldson and also Filippi.

This old school linebacker is making a big name in the recruiting circles since summer camps ended. In week two David made 14 tackles, 5 solos along with 2 forced fumbles when Dover needed it most. Dover who is ranked in the OPS Top 10 (#8 DIII) beat Orrville 34-23.

David who has visited the Akron - Kent State game also made a trip to Kentucky as the Wildcats hosted Louisville. While at Kentucky David spoke with defensive coordinator Coach Archer who also called David in the first week of college contacts. David also had many other programs call and will visit Toledo on Saturday for another game.

In what has been a very fast rise, Filippi is well deserving of the interest many programs are showing him. Stay with OPS for more on David and also other top players many schools are showing interest in.
