Brackman was recently rated the number 5 high school baseball player in the nation by Team One National after an impressive weekend at the Team One All American camp of the top 50 players in the country.
Andrew was said to throw in the upper 80's and have control of all four of his pitches over the weekend in Las Vegas. Little did they know that Drew had just pitched in the 90's only two days before his trip out west.
Brackman visited Georgia Tech last weekend where he has been offered a baseball scholarship. "I liked it a lot, and got a chance to play some basketball with their guys (Georgia Tech basketball players).
They are top 5 in the country and would be a great place to play," Brackman said of the visit. Obviously, the young pitcher/forward has not decided if professional baseball is in the immediate future. As for basketball, Ohio State, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, Miami (OH), and Dayton have all made home visits and have visited Drew at Moeller's open gym.
Drew was sure to mention that he dunked on good friend and one of my favorites Bubba Walther's at a recent open gym. Walther recently committed to Akron. Although Drew made it clear that he had no order to his list, he did say that it was time to cut it down and he was trying to figure out what was important from! the five home visits that he had sat through.
It looks as if Brackman will take the next couple of weeks to do just that before deciding on when and where to make his choice! Look for more right here on OhioPrepScene.com.
