OPS was on hand for the big game that put defending State Champion Reading against North College Hill and super Freshman O.J. Mayo.

Ask many from around Ohio to name the team they felt should be favorite to win a basketball title in 2004, and you would hear North College Hill often. With a great start in the tournament, NCH saw its season come to an end on Friday night. Basketball Director Ozie Davis III was on hand, and this news was so hot he asked me to write about it as we spoke on the phone.

Ozie stated the following, "It was 5 against 2 tonight, Reading just beat them. Nick Berter scored 24 points and pulled down 11 boards plus Jeremy Overbeck scored 12. Rodney Stidham had 7 assists tonight for Reading."

"As for North College Hill, O.J. Mayo scored 24 points on 10 of 28 shooting. You could say he had a off night. Bill Walker scored 15 points and pulled down 11 boards but fouled out in the 4th quarter. The other kids just didn't show up tonight. The final score was 58 - 47 Reading advances."

OPS will have some photos from tonight's game latter.
