One of the most underrated player in Ohio is starting to see his stock rise with his performance at the Iowa Nike Camp.

One of the players OhioPrepScene.com has followed for some time is Bruce Hampton of Cleveland Heights. The defensive back has been highly underrated by many and is out to prove his worth.

At the recent Nike Camp held at Iowa, Bruce was named most outstanding Defensive Back and showed why OPS has him ranked with some of the best in Ohio.

The event saw 250 players from 17 states gather to compete.  When all was said and done, Bruce had done that and more with his performance.

What makes Bruce one of the top prospects in Ohio is the following.

As a defensive back Bruce has great feet and hips. He has great cover skills and plays with a physical mentality. Because of his hips he can turn on a dime and also run and break on the ball. With his physical play he's able to jam receivers and make them change their direction.

Another part of Bruce's game is he's a great student. With a 3.9 GPA and an ACT of 23 in hand many programs are taking notice.

At this time Bruce likes the following schools.

Notre Dame

Ohio State

He is set to camp this summer at these schools.

Notre Dame

Ohio State

We look for programs to work hard on getting Bruce into the fold of their program before the summer is over.
