Class of 2018
6’3”, 270 lbs.
The 411: Kater earned his way to a starting position on Bishop McDevitt’s defensive line during his sophomore year and is becoming a solid FBS prospect. Kater finished the 2015 season with 55 tackles (22 solo), three fumble recoveries, three pass deflections and one interception. Kater camped at West Virginia, Temple, Syracuse and Army during the off-season. Kater has also received some interest from Kent State, North Carolina, Cincinnati and New Hampshire.
Cleezy’s take: Kater’s upside is tremendous. Kater has been working on his flexibility, explosion off the ball and staying low coming out of his stance. I’m expecting him to establish himself as one of the best defensive tackles in the state. Kater played on the school's basketball and football teams and won District championships in both sports. So you already know he knows what it takes to be the best.
