PA H.S. Football AAAA Rankings- Week 2

PA H.S. Football AAAA Rankings- Week 2

Penn Preps releases its state high school football rankings after Week Two.  Our rankings come out on the following Wednesday once all games are completed.  Penn Preps rankings are solely based on the research, games watched and knowledge of the Scout Penn Preps staff.  Penn Preps does not consider any other rankings and is not a part of any newspaper or other Pennsylvania media association.

  1. Imhotep Charter (2-0), idle, no change, game postponed

  2. Cathedral Prep (3-0)- defeated McDowell 31-15, no change

  3. Thomas Jefferson (2-0)- defeated Trinity 55-14, no change

  4. South Fayette (3-0)- defeated Ambridge 38-0, no change

  5. Belle Vernon (2-0) , defeated Uniontown 40-0,  no change

  6. Bishop McDevitt (HBG) (1-2) - lost to DeMatha (MD) 35-7, previously ranked 7

  7. Berks Catholic (2-0) - defeated Conrad Weiser 44-16, previously ranked #8

  8. Saucon Valley  - won 35-7 over Palmerton,  previously 10

  9. Greater Johnstown - (3-0)- defeated Forest Hills 40-0, previously unranked

  10. Bethlehem Catholic (2-0) -  lost to Emmaus 34-25, previously ranked 6

Imhotep Charter was idle in Week 2 due to the game between them and Northeast being cancelled. #10 Bethlehem Catholic took a loss to surprising Emmaus but still remain in the top ten. We like Johnstown a lot and cannot wait to see them take on Class A power house Bishop Guilfoyle later on in the season.

#6 Bishop McDevitt needs to get a win against Cumberland Valley (Class AAAAAA) this week.  Their defense has played tough through the last three games but they’ll need to get their offense clicking this week to avoid falling to .500 on the season.

#5 Belle Vernon has a tough road against undefeated Ringgold (2-0).

Dropped out - Berwick
