PA H.S. Football AAAAAA Rankings- Week 2

Penn Preps releases its state high school football rankings after Week Two.  Our rankings come out on the following Wednesday once all games are completed.  Penn Preps rankings are solely based on the research, games watched and knowledge of the Scout Penn Preps staff.  Penn Preps does not consider any other rankings and is not a part of any newspaper or other Pennsylvania media association.

  1. St. Joseph’s Prep (2-0) - defeated Don Bosco Prep , no change.

  10. Cumberland Valley (2-0)- , defeated Central York 35-7, previously unranked

Cleezy’s Take: North Allegheny and LaSalle drop out of the top ten this week.  LaSalle may play its way back in at some point during this season but they still have games against both Archbishop Wood and St. Joseph’s Prep.  Wood and Prep play each other this Friday in a nationally televised game on ESPNU.  Both team are ranked number one in Class AAAAAA (St. Joseph’s Prep) and Class AAAAA (Archbishop Wood). It’s clearly the game of the week.

North Penn will take on an undefeated Central Bucks West (3-0) squad at home this week.  #3 Pine-Richland will face the high-powered offense of Penn Hills.  Penn Hills quarterback Cam Tamerant has already thrown for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season.  There should be a lot of scoring in that game.

#5 Central Dauphin will take on Wilson (West Lawn) in another regular-season brawl between the two teams.  With a win over Central Dauphin, Wilson could shoot into our top ten rankings.

#10 Cumberland Valley will take on Class AAAA #6 Bishop McDevitt.  This will be a change for the Eagles to show whether or not they’re a top ten team in the state.

North Allegheny and LaSalle College dropped out the top ten.
