Prospect Watch: Lorenzo Hernandez-DE/FB-2017

Scout Penn Preps checks on Lorenzo Hernandez, a defensive end and fullback, out of Cherry Hill West High School in New Jersey. Hernandez is in the 2017 class.

Below are recent game highlights for 2017 DE/FB Lorenzo Hernandez.  We had a chance to see Hernandez at an All-State Football Camp camp back in March of this year.  Hernandez was CLEARLY one of the top two linemen at the event (the other being Central Dauphin East defensive end Brandon Hickerson-Rooks). Hernandez displayed the same skills that he displays in the highlights below.  Hernandez is very quick off the ball and is relentless in his pursuit to the quarterback or any other ball carrier.  Hernandez is lining up at a defensive tackle for his high school team and it looks  like he's hard to contain.  What we didn't see at the All-State Camp were his skills as a running back.  See the film below.  Hernandez currently has offers from Sacred Heart, Delaware State, Towson, Lafayette, Villanova, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
