PA H.S. Football A Rankings-After Week 5

Penn Preps releases its state high school football rankings after Week Five. Our rankings come out on the following Wednesday once all games are completed. Penn Preps rankings are solely based on the research, games watched and knowledge of the Scout Penn Preps staff. Penn Preps does not consider any other rankings and is not a part of any newspaper or other Pennsylvania media association.

  1. Bishop Guilfoyle – (6-0) - defeated Penn Cambria 35-0, no change in ranking.
  2. Clairton- (5-0) defeated Imani Christian 48-6, no change in ranking.
  3. Jeanette (6-0) – defeated Bishop Canevin 40-0 , no change in ranking
  4. Rochester (5-0) – defeated Northgate 30-26, no change in ranking.
  5. Conemaugh Township - defeated Berlin Brothersvalley 28-0, no change in ranking
  6. Tri-Valley (5-1)- defeated Millersburg 42-7 , previously No. 7
  7. Portage (5-1)- defeated North Star 45-13, previously unranked
  8. Homer Center (6-0) - defeated United 61-0, previously No. 10
  9. Northgate (4-1) - lost to Rochester 30-26, no change in ranking
  10. Fort Cherry (5-0) - defeated West Greene 40-6, previously unranked

Dropped out: Elk County Catholic, Conchranton

Quick Take: No. 4 Rochester defeated No. 9 Northgate. We'll keep Northgate in the same spot, but we've added Portage, Homer Center and Fort Cherry into our top ten for the first time this year. No. 2 Clairton has the biggest game of Week 7 against Aliquippa.
