Penn Preps releases its state high school football rankings after Week Six. Our rankings come out on the following Wednesday once all games are completed. Penn Preps rankings are solely based on the research, games watched and knowledge of the Scout Penn Preps staff. Penn Preps does not consider any other rankings and is not a part of any newspaper or other Pennsylvania media association.

  1. Hickory (7-0) - defeated Sharpsville 56-26, no change in ranking
  2. Notre-Dame Green Pond (6-0) - defeated Catasauqua 42-20, previously No. 3
  3. Central Valley (6-1) - defeated Hopewell 35-0, previously No. 2
  4. Beaver Area (5-1) - defeated Lincoln 49-0, previously No. 5
  5. Beaver Falls (5-1) - defeated Quaker Valley 34-0, previously No. 6
  6. Middletown (6-0) - defeated Palmyra 14-10, previously No. 8
  7. Central Martinsburg (6-1) - defeated Philipsburg-Osceola 50-14, previously No. 9
  8. Scranton Prep (6-1) - defeated Honesdale 56-0, previously No. 9
  9. Karns City (6-1) - defeated Clarion-Limestone 45-6, previously unranked
  10. Derry (7-0) - defeated Mt. Pleasant 34-14, previously unranked

New Teams: Derry and Karns City

Dropped out: Aliquippa (5-2, lost to Clairton 52-16) and Montoursville (6-1, lost to Southern Columbia 42-21).

Quick take: Both Aliquippa and Montoursville lost in week six. Derry and Karns City enter our top ten for the first time this season. Delaware Valley Charter is a team that can get into the top ten within the next couple of weeks.
