One of the more versatile two-way players in Pennsylvania finally snagged his first Division I offer. Central Dauphin east senior athlete Tyshaun Pollard announced via twitter that he received his first offer from FCS school St. Francis (PA).
Pollard, who also has an offer from Division II Millersville (PA), is one of the most versatile players in the state. Pollard, who lines up at wide receiver and running back on offense, has amassed almost over 1,000 yards in total offense despite missing the first few games of the season. Pollard has rushed 112 times for 649 yards and three touchdowns and has caught 17 passes for 321 yards and two touchdowns. Pollard also plays defensive back and is a very solid punt returner.
Pollard's Central Dauphin East football team takes on Wilson (West Lawn) this weekend in the District III 6-A Football Championship semi-finals.
Cleezy's take: I've had several opportunities to evaluate Pollard and person and figured it would be only a matter of time before an FCS level school offered him. Pollard also had a solid season both running and catching the football as a senior. I personally believe he would be very effective at either position, wide receiver or running back.
