Harrisburg High School (PA) quarterback Yahmir Wilkerson had a record-setting night this past weekend as his Cougars defeated Manheim Central 48-20 to win the District III Class 5-A Championship.  Wilkerson completed 13 of 24 passes for 398 yards and six touchdowns to help Harrisburg win the first-ever District III 5-A Championship.  Wilkerson's six touchdown passes are a District III playoff record.

After a disappointing 2015 season, Wilkerson and his teammates made a committment to improve and have a better 2016 season.

"I've improved on staying in the pocket and scanning the field instead of running out the pocket when I don't really need to," said Wilkerson.  "At the end of last season, I know this year's team would be a problem.  It feels great to win a championship.  I haven't won a championship since playing a Pee Wee for the Harrisburg Packers (youth football)."

Wilkerson has gotten interest from UConn, Akron, Temple and Syracuse.
