One of Pennsylvania's top class of 2020 football players has already gained the interest of FBS programs. Southern Columbia's Julian Fleming, a defensive back and wide receiver, received his first offer from Michigan.
Fleming was a factor on both sides of the football for Southern Columbia during the 2016 season and helped the Tigers reach the PIAA Class AA Championship Game. Fleming caught 36 passes for 956 yards and 13 touchdowns. Fleming also added 21 total tackles and two interceptions on defense.
Cleezy's Quick Take: Fleming had a tremendous season on the offensive side of the football, but it was his play against Steel Valley in the championshp game last year that REALLY caught my eye. Even though Steel Valley beat Southern Columbia by a big margin, Fleming held his own against some top-notch wide receivers from his cornerback position. His length and athleticism enabled him to go toe-to-toe with Steel Valley's wideouts and even draw a few offensive pass interference calls. It's still early in the recruiting process for Fleming, but there's no doubt that this Michigan offer will influence other schools to take a closer look at him.
