Justis Henley (Scout Penn Preps)

Coach Cleezy takes a look at five prospects from the state of Pennsylvania.

Scout Penn Preps will be profiling five high school football prospects from Pennsylvania that we’ve had a chance to evaluate in-person.

Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA) is one of probably a handful of teams in Pennsylvania that truly play man-to-man defense during the course of a football. Junior defensive back Aaron Gethers is one of the top defensive back prospects coming out of South Central Pennsylvania. Gethers has plenty of film showing his man-to-man coverage skills

Gethers recently received his first FBS offer from Buffalo.

Don't let his number of offers fool you (currently has an offer from Army), Henley is one of the best two-way players in Pennsylvania's class of 2018. SPP recently checked out Henley during a 7v7 tournament and Nike Camp back in April. During the 7v7, Henley played with his high school team (North Penn) and was selected at their team MVP for the tournament due to his outstanding performance on both sides of the ball. Henley will most likely get more offers at prospect camp seasons swings into high gear from late May through July.

SPP has checked out Lloyd on three different occasions since the end of the 2016 season and we’ve been impressed with his defensive back play each time. Lloyd has gone toe-to-toe with some of the best players in the East and has come out on top of those match-ups the majority of the time. The talent is there, but one of the main reasons we believe FBS/FCS schools have not offered him yet may be due to his size.

SPP had a chance to check out Webb during the Scout Penn Preps All-State Football Camp back in February. Webb was chosen as one of the top camp performers at the linebacker position. Webb’s play on the football field is beginning to pay dividends as well on the recruiting front. Webb currently has three offers, including two FBS schools UMass and Army.

SPP checked out Zobel both on the field of play and in camp situations over the past year. Zobel, who holds a couple of offers including one from Army, recently participated in the Nike Football Regional Camp in New Jersey. Zobel currently plays defensive end, but SPP wouldn’t be surprised to see him switched to defensive tackle on the next level.
