Berea's Eddie Williams Rolls Up Big Yards

The old saying goes, "its not the size of the dog but the size of the fight in the dog." That is the case with 2011 Berea High RB Eddie Williams. He may only be 5'3 but Williams uses that lack of size and 4.3 speed to his advantage. Already holding a Southern Conference offer Williams dazzled the Bulldog contingency with 255 yards in an overtime victory.

They say it's hard to catch what you can't see. Such is the case for 2011 Berea RB Eddie Williams. Add the fact that he's an accomplished sprinter and its no wonder that he already holds a scholarship offer from Western Carolina along with teammate Daron Dickey. On Friday night he showed just why he's an intriguing prospect for so many regional schools.

Battling Blue Ridge Williams guided the Bulldogs to a 20-14 victory in overtime. Standing only 5'3 Williams torched the Tigers defense for 255 yards on 26 carries and 2 touchdowns.

The speedy back was quick to give all the credit to his offensive line and the Bulldogs' defense. The victory pushes Berea to a 3-1 record on the season and coach Bryan Davis' squad has the tools in place to make even more noise heading towards region play.
