The talent pool is strong here in the Palmetto State in the 2011 class. With the Shrine Bowl selecting 44 of the top prospects there were a few omissions that opened some eyes and most likely they'll land on a roster for the North-South All Star Game in Myrtle Beach. Each year there are plenty of catcalls and questions as to why particular players were left off of the Shrine Bowl roster. The coaching staff has the unenviable task of putting together a team of 44 players from the immense talent pool here in the state of South Carolina.

So every year there are players who on most seasons would have landed on the Shrine Bowl squad who end up playing in the state's other All Star game, the North-South game. Make no mistake there's no shortage of talent for this year's upcoming North-South struggle in Myrtle Beach and each player selected should take the selection as an honor.
