SC Shrine Bowl: WR David Frazier II

A good running team needs weapons at wide receiver to make things even keel to keep opponents guessing. Irmo has that in 2011 WR David Frazier II who was recently selected to the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team. We caught up with Frazier for an update as he's already given a verbal commitment, but that hasn't stopped some schools from continuing their recruitment of the Irmo star.

David Frazier Profile

We sat down with 2011 Irmo WR David Frazier II recently to catch up on the very latest regarding his recruitment and talk about his most recent award. Named to this year's Shrine Bowl team, Frazier has been very effective as a lot of teams have keyed on the Irmo rushing attack. Frazier made the most of his opportunities and he's still receiving plenty of interest from a number of in-state programs.

Being selected for the Shrine Bowl Frazier made some history for the Yellow Jackets program.

"I felt amazing when I got selected. I'm the first receiver from Irmo to go, so I felt really great when I was selected."

Having such success on the field Frazier has a number of schools in the mix including a trio of offers although he has already given his verbal commitment to Elon.

"I am hearing from Elon, Presbyterian, and Wofford. Elon is recruiting me the hardest right now and I've already committed to them. I have offers from Elon, Presbyterian, and Newberry. My top schools are Elon, PC, Wofford, NC State, and Rutgers. I'm going to take visits to Elon, Wofford, and PC soon."

With the Shrine Bowl coming up next month Frazier says he's not planning on holding back at all during practice or the game against the North Carolina team. College coaches will be paying close attention to the game and Frazier says he should make the most of his opportunity.

"I'm gonna bust my butt off and try to get all the looks I can get."

The Irmo standout shared with us what factors he values most when looking at potential colleges.

"Education, location, facilities, coaches, and the atmosphere are the most important to me."
