6'3 275 pound Casey Baldwin is anxious to see just where his talent stands during the week of Shrine Bowl practice leading up to the game against North Carolina. Casey Baldwin Profile

2011 Seneca High OG/C Casey Baldwin saw his career with the Bobcats come to an end on Friday night at the hands of a 51-7 loss to Greenville High. His high school career isn't over though as he's been selected to play in this years Shrine Bowl. We caught up with the 6'3 275 pound prospect and got the very latest regarding his thoughts about making the Shrine Bowl and his recruitment.

Baldwin had thoughts about playing in the Shrine Bowl during his career but he talked about his first reaction after finding out that he made his dream a reality.

"I was very excited and honored it's a huge game. It's kinda like the icing on the cake to finish out my high school carrer by playing in the Shrine Bowl. I always hoped I would be good enough to play in this game."

The 2011 prospect has seen his play improve over the course of his career and he shared with us where his strengths are as one of the state's premier linemen.

"My strengths are my quickness and upper body strength. It's really helped me be successful blocking when I'm faster and stronger than a lot of the defensive lineman I have faced. In order to improve I've been working on fundamentals as well as pass protection. I can play all five positions on the line too so thoug."

Playing in the Shrine Bowl Baldwin will get to compete against the state's very best prospects and it's a challenge that he's very much looking forward to. He also talked about the toughest player he's faced leading up to the game so far during his senior season.

"I look forward to being across the line from the number one high school player in the nation, Jadeveon Clowney. It will show me where I stand as an offensive lineman."

"The best d-lineman I've faced this year by far would be Deshawn Williams from Daniel High School who is committed to Clemson. He is just a big strong lineman who plays more like a linebacker on the line."

Right now a trio of in-state schools comprises Baldwin's list of schools currently in the mix in terms of his recruitment. Hoping to have a strong week of practice and a strong performance in the game he's hoping to land some his first offer along with more interest from new schools as well.

"Yes I am hoping that I will have a good week of practice and that will happen to me. I just have to get after it and see what happens."

"I'm hearing from Presbyterian, Furman, and Coastal Carolina right now. PC is recruiting me the hardest right now and I don't have any offers yet."

Baldwin says he's visited Clemson and PC and enjoyed both schools' atmosphere while there.

"When I look at playing for schools I take playing time into consideration because I just want to play the game."
