Back by popular demand the SC Pigskin Prep Sim Season 2003 will return for its second season. We will completely simulate the 2003 season three months early to give all the fans of SC high school football a quick fix prior to the beginning of 2 a days this fall.
Last season we simulated the 2002 season during the summer prior to the season. We correctly predicted a state championship for the Rock Hill Bearcats in the Big 16. The Sims predicted a state title for Marlboro County but after the SCHSL ruling they were unable to defend thier title. The Sims had Byrnes as the runner up and on December 7th, the Rebels were crowned champs.
Last season, our simulator correctly predicted 81.2% of the Class 4A games. Of the 48 teams, we correctly predicted the win total within 2 games on 44 of the 48 teams.
This year we are going to simualted each classifaction. Our program is installed and we are working to compile data to reflect changes in the squads from last year. By mid May, we hope to have this finished and will begin the week by week results of our simulated season.
We hope that everyone will enjoy the 2nd annual simulator season.
