We review tons of film all year long but there's a few that really jump out to us. One such highlight tape came across our desk recently and it belonged to 2012 Indian Land High QB/CB/ATH Rondreas Truesdale. The talented junior prospect put together a huge junior season this past season and is looking to attract the interest of more colleges in the near future.
Truesdale lined up all over the field for Indian Land but primarily at quarterback on offense and defensive back on defense. Under center he rushed for over 1,500 yards and 20 touchdowns but the thing that stuck out in our minds were the big plays he made. He averaged over 10 yards per carry which shows his athletic ability. We caught up with Truesdale recently to talk about his recruitment and junior season.
Asked what he felt provided him with being so successful on both sides of the ball Truesdale replied, "I believe that my vison, speed, and making people miss are my strongest points on offense. On defense I take good angles a lot of times when making tackles."
"This off season I'm looking forward to working on my footwork with running the ball and passing so that I can be even better my senior season."
Truesdale says he's open to any schools that want to recruit him. Viewing his film below will give you an idea of what kind of athlete he is and we're sure that he'll start to hear from plenty of schools once coaches take a look for themselves.
We project Truesdale as a cornerback or wide receiver on the next level but the 5'10 170 pound prospect knows where he'd like to line up if given the opportunity.
"I want to be playing in the backfield no matter running or throwing the ball."
Right now Truesdale says he's interested in hearing from Clemson, South Carolina, Wofford, Furman, Coastal Carolina, Charleston Southern, and anyone that wants to recruit him.
