ACC Offer Is #1 For OG Eddie Gordon

A few years ago it was Logan Stewart who made waves heading into his senior season at Boiling Springs High School. Now another standout offensive lineman from BSHS, Eddie Gordon, is on the radar and landed his first offer from the ACC. Come inside with SCPrepNation.com to find out which school offered Gordon Tuesday and what his plans are about visiting the program.

Eddie Gordon Profile

We spoke with 2012 OG Eddie Gordon of Boiling Springs over the weekend and he says he was told his first offer would come this week. On Tuesday night those words came true for the 6'3 300 pound prospect. Gordon gave SCPrepNation.com the scoop first.

"I just got offered by North Carolina State," Gordon told us.

"Coach Jim Bridge offered me. I plan on going up there to visit sometime this summer."

We asked Gordon if he had a top 5 list currently and he replied, "North Carolina State, South Carolina, Duke, Georgia Tech, and Clemson."

In our earlier conversation Gordon also mentioned that South Carolina offensive line coach Shawn Elliot says that he'd like to see the 2012 prospect lose about 10-15 pounds and play in the 290-295 pound range and that an offer could soon follow from the Gamecocks.

At one point South Carolina and Duke were showing him the most interest in terms of recruiting but the Wolfpack have moved to the forefront with the offer being extended.

Gordon holds a 3.4 GPA and says a quality education will be one of the key elements in his decision making process.

Stay tuned to SCPrepNation.com and Scout.com for the very latest regarding Eddie Gordon as his recruitment appears set to take off heading into the summer.
