2012 WR Chris Brown: SEC Schools & More

Picking up steam over the past few weeks 2012 Hanahan WR Chris Brown has started to spark up interest from colleges all over the country. We spoke with Brown Sunday evening to talk about a trio of SEC schools who are heavily involved currently. Come inside for details as to where things stand with those three programs and more courtesy of SCPrepNation.com.

Chris Brown Profile

2012 Hanahan WR Chris Brown says he'll be giving South Carolina assistant coach Steve Spurrier Jr. a phone call later on today.

The USC assistant has wanted to speak with Brown for some time now and after a hectic couple of weeks Brown says he's going to slow down and give the Gamecock assistant a call.

"I like Carolina a lot so I will give him a call tomorrow," Brown told us Sunday.

Two other SEC programs like Brown a great deal too and are still in heavily in the mix, Alabama and Florida.

"Coach Rumph from Alabama said I'm far along in the process with them. He approves and says he likes me a lot but they want to see me at their camp."

We asked Brown what the latest was regarding the Gators of Florida and he talked about what the Gainesville program stands.

"I couldn't meet with Florida because I was out of town so they want me to come to camp too."

One Big Ten program is set to come see Brown this coming week he says.

"Michigan is coming on Thursday. I think they will offer but we'll see."

Some have mentioned to us that Brown's recruitment reminds them of 2011 WR Hakeem Flowers in that he holds numerous offers from out-of-state programs but none from the two in-state powers.

"Clemson says they are still recruiting me," Brown said.

Brown picked up another verbal offer from Morgan State on Sunday evening.

SCPrepNation.com will continue to bring you more updates later this week with Brown as he awaits more college coaches who will be visiting with him this week.
