SG Larry Wideman: New Schools Enter

Already holding one scholarship offer, 2012 SG Larry Wideman has seen more schools enter the picture lately. Larry Wideman Profile

In a day and age where scandal and bad news dominates the headlines we always find it refreshing to bring some positive news to the light. One prospect who is definitely a breath of fresh air is Larry Wideman of Green Sea Floyds High School. An all-state selection on the hardwood this past season Wideman also holds it down in the classroom with a 4.36 GPA.

More schools apparently are taking note of Wideman's talents and feel he can be a great asset to their program. Wofford has already offered Wideman his first scholarship offer and schools like Jacksonville, Georgia State, Winthrop, North Florida, Yale, Mercer, UNC-Asheville, TCU, Elon, South Carolina State, USC-Upstate, and The Citadel were in the mix when we last spoke to him a few weeks ago.

Since then five more schools have started to recruit the 6'4 190 pound shooting guard.

"I'm starting to be recruited by Tennessee State, High Point University, Old Dominion, Princeton, and Mercer now too," Wideman said.
