UP NEXT: 2012 Greer QB Reese Hannon

At 6'3 205 pounds Reese Hannon has all the tools most coaches love in a quarterback. Powering Greer to strong seasons recently, he's now heading into his senior season. Three schools have already stepped up and offered Hannon and there's plenty of others still actively recruiting him. Scout.com caught up with Hannon recently to talk about his recruitment and more.

For the past few seasons we've watched Reese Hannon closely. The 2012 prospect has guided Greer High School to some great wins and playoff runs. Also during that time he's also impressed quite a few college coaches. We caught up with Hannon over the weekend to talk about his recruitment and outlook heading into his senior season.

The numbers don't lie for Reese Hannon as he was impressive last season for the Yellow Jackets under head coach Will Young. Hannon says he was 153-268 (57% completion rate) for 1858 passing yards and 12 touchdowns. He also racked up solid yards on the ground as well with 113 rushing attempts for 426 yards and 6 touchdowns. What's significant about it though is he did in a limited number of games.

"I missed three games due to a fracture in my right foot."

Hannon who stands 6'3 205 pounds emerged as a quarterback to be reckoned with over the course of the past two seasons. He talked a little bit about the game he felt was his strongest performance a year ago.

"In week 2 we played at Berea and I had 236 passing yards, 121 rushing yards, and 3 touchdowns. It was a tough game and it was great to help the team grind out a win."

A born leader, Hannon also shines in the classroom where he's near the very top of his class at Greer High. His numbers in the classroom are highly impressive as well.

"I have a 4.87 GPA and am ranked number 2 of 218 in my class."

The Greer quarterback says his goals for next season are to lead his team to a region and state championship. The Yellow Jackets will have plenty of weapons in place to make another run at a state title with him under center.

His efforts from last season and on the camp circuit have already landed him plenty of early suitors. In fact, Hannon already holds a trio of offers he says.

"Right now I'm hearing from North Carolina State, South Carolina, Duke, Furman, Coastal Carolina, VMI, UNC Charlotte, Gardner-Webb, Liberty, Wofford, Southern Utah, Harvard, Princeton, and Brown."

"I have offers from Furman, Gardner-Webb, and Southern Utah. Furman, UNC Charlotte, VMI, Wofford, and Southern Utah are recruiting me the hardest right now out of everybody."

The 2012 prospect has been very active on the camp circuit and he talked about which schools he's camped with already and some schools that he'd like to hear more from soon during the recruiting process.

"I've camped at South Carolina, NC State, Duke, Clemson, Furman, Coastal Carolina, Elon, and Gardner-Webb. I would like to hear more from South Carolina, Duke, NC State, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, and Wake Forest."

With offers already on hand expect Hannon to come out strong during his final season with the Yellow Jackets in hopes of landing some additional offers to his name.

College coaches will obviously love his efforts on the field and in the classroom but Hannon shared another fact about himself with us that gives you a sense of how grounded he is despite all the accolades and achievements.

"Most people don't know that I'm very spiritual and that I'm very strong in my faith."
