There's some new information that came from that phone call on Monday regarding 2012 Hanahan WR Chris Brown and Florida. Did the Gators offer Brown after he tore it up at Friday Night Lights in Gainesville last week? LINK: Chris Brown: Florida Gators Update

Another good looking safety prospect has emerged in the 2013 class at Laurens High School in Desmond Beasley-Jones. With guys like Justin Bridges-Thompson and Nicholas Halmon already getting high major interest we've got a strong corps of big time safety prospects to watch in the 2013 class. Recent Wren transfer CB/WR Josh Rowland is one of the state's top athletes in the 2012 class. At 6'0 165 pounds Rowland has tons of speed (4.46) and will be seeing plenty of top on both sides of the ball. After leaving Greer High where he was the team's top cornerback and interceptions leader the past 2 seasons he's looking to land some offers now. He's moving from AAA to AAAA but Rowland is loving his new home and teammates already. We'll have an update later on today with him for all the inside scoop early on.

We'll also sit down with 2012 Hardeeville LB/ATH Phillip Harris as he's flown under the radar for quite some time. The Hardeeville prospect won RB MVP honors at a National Underclassmen Combine event this off season and is looking to stir up more interest heading into his senior season. At 6'2 210 pounds Harris has good size and plays all over the field for his squad and he's got the size/speed/talent to indeed be a solid prospect at multiple positions. Check out some of his film from last season.

2012 Wade Hampton (Greenville) DT Nikeem Ladson picked up his first scholarship offer last night. Ladson is a prospect who came on strong late last season and appears ready to continue that upswing in his senior season. LINK: 2012 DT Nikeem Ladson Lands 1st Offer

I spoke with 2012 Goose Creek FB Virgil Smalls and he told us he has multiple offers already. We'll have his update posted later this week. His numbers from the past two seasons are pretty staggering for a fullback and he's a player who hasn't talked much to this point about recruiting until now with and he gave us the skinny on it all. On the AAU circuit, Carolina Ravens basketball coach Dion Bethea says the Ravens 17U squad finished 2nd in pool play at the Orlando Super Showcase. "We had 3 games yesterday and held a 15 point lead against the Georgia Stars but ran out of gas." More to come with the Ravens' prospects and other top basketball prospects here in the Palmetto State once Bethea and his team returns from Orlando.

Don't be surprised to see one of the state's top 2012 prospects transfer to a new school here late. I can't name the prospect yet obviously but I've been told things are already in motion to do so and it very well could take place within the next two weeks. This guy already has multiple scholarship offers in place already too. Stay tuned.
