Quickly and quietly 2012 Green Sea Floyds High School shooting guard Larry Wideman has emerged as a highly sought after prospect. Last week he picked up another offer bringing his total to 8. Larry Wideman Profile

Traveling the country on the AAU circuit with Team TMP 2012 shooting guard Larry Wideman has become one of the hottest prospects in the Palmetto State. Wideman has become a hot commodity amongst a lot of mid-majors and still has some ACC and SEC schools taking a look heading into his senior season. We caught up with him to talk about his most recent visits and offer number eight which came last week.

"Well this week I went to visit Gardner-Webb and Furman. I really liked both of their campuses and the way they try to build relationships with the players," Wideman said.

"Furman's campus was really nice though. They have a very good academic program there too."

Wideman's prowess in the classroom is equally as strong as his court presence as he's got a 4.095 GPA.

"Lately it's mostly been the same schools that have been contacting me."

The 2012 standout is hoping to hear more from South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech, and VCU he says. Those schools have been in the mix and he's hoping a strong senior season will strengthen their interest in him along with all other schools.

SCPrepNation.com and the Scout.com team will continue to track Wideman's recruitment and senior season so keep it locked right here!
