We spoke with 2012 Great Falls running back Ernest Talford briefly on Tuesday and he informed us that he's been hearing from some new schools as of late since we introduced him back in late June.
"I've heard from East Carolina, Stanford, and Tennessee in the past month since we last talked. South Florida called me last night but I was at practice. They left a message for me to call back and speak to their recruiter."
The talented back averaged 10 yards per carry as a junior with 120 carries for 1,256 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also had 9 receptions for 191 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Carrying a 4.077 GPA in the classroom Talford is tracking as a prospect that many schools will want to have in their program as a student-athlete.
We'll talk more with Talford soon about his upcoming senior season so stay tuned to Scout.com for more updates.
