Chris Brown Profile

The injury bug is going around with two of the state's top 2012 prospects out now. First it was Wade Hampton running back Blake Hayes who suffered a torn ACL right before the start of the season and now Hanahan wide receiver Chris Brown is out after suffering a broken collar bone during their first game. We caught up with Brown's father for an update on his injury and plans moving forward in the coming weeks.

"Chris is taking the injury well. He's going to be out 4-6 weeks. We both agreed that we could use this time period to see what schools are serious about him," Mr. Brown told us.

The dynamic wide receiver already has a couple of visits planned and his father told us where they intend to go in the coming weeks.

"We're going to take an official Alabama this coming weekend. We're hoping he returns with dual offers for both track and football."

Mr. Brown also told us that they are planning to visit both Notre Dame and Virginia Tech soon as well.

He told us that Notre Dame offered Chris verbally over the phone for both football and track.

We'll speak with Brown upon his return from Tuscaloosa this weekend to see how things went on his official to Alabama so stay tuned right here on Scout.com.
