Crimson Tide Looking At 2013 SC Prospect

Goose Creek (SC) suffered a heartbreaking 52-51 loss last week against University HS out of Florida in overtime. One of their top prospects however picked up interest from one of college football most storied programs, Alabama. Come inside with Scout.com to get the latest with one of the state's most promising 2013 prospects regardless of position.

Jalen Stevens Profile

"Alabama is recruiting me now," Stevens told Scout.com recently.

The 2013 prospect lines up as a defensive end for coach Chuck Reedy's Goose Creek Gators but he's being projected as a linebacker on the next level currently by Scout.com. At 6'3 216 pounds Stevens has been on a tear early in his career. He's looked impressive in 2011 so far making plays all over the field for the Gators.

Although the Gators lost in overtime 52-51 to University (FL) Stevens talked about the game.

"I got hurt, but we came up short when the doc took me out the game. The next play on kickoff, a dude took my spot and messed up and they ran one back on us."

Stevens says he suffered a bruised sternum but fully expects to go this week.

"I gotta get 4 sacks this week so I can get back with my average of 2 sacks a game."

Schools like Clemson, Connecticut, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and South Carolina have already started recruiting the 2013 standout.

Stay tuned for more coverage of Stevens as he projects to be one of South Carolina's top 2013 prospects.
