RB Ernest Talford Picking Up More Interest

Ernest Talford has seen his recruitment take flight over the past few months after averaging over 10 yards per carry last season and rushing for 1,256 yards and 17 touchdowns. Schools from across the country are now showing the Great Falls back interest and he talked about it with Scout.com this week.

Ernest Talford Profile

It's been pretty interesting to watch the recruitment of 2012 Great Falls running back Ernest Talford take off in the past few months since we introduced him.

He had camped with South Carolina and the Gamecocks liked him but they were the only school showing any interest at that point. Things have changed dramatically for Talford concerning his recruitment since we introduced him back in June.

"I'm hearing from Wofford, Towson, Campbell, Army, South Carolina, and Oklahoma State have all been sending me mail about coming out and watching one of their games."

Another school who has really been showing a lot of interest in Talford is Navy.

"I plan on learning as much as I can about them like I am all of the schools I'm currently hearing from. I know they run the ball a lot so I'm definitely interested in them plus the education that they bring to the table."

Doing his homework and then some is nothing new for the Great Falls running back. He's a standout in the class room as well with a 4.077 GPA.

Talford says he's still interested in hearing from North Carolina State, Tennessee, and Penn State soon as well. We'll have more updates with Talford so stay tuned!
