New Schools Courting S Nicholas Halmon

2013 safety prospect Nicholas Halmon has gone about his business for the Bamberg-Ehrhardt Red Raiders this season and more schools are taking notice. Halmon says some new schools have started contacting him in recent weeks and inside you'll find out who from the ACC and Big Ten is involved.

With immense talent on the defensive side of the ball 2013 safety Nicholas Halmon has been a force for coach Butch Crosby's team. Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School has Clemson commit Martin Aiken, Miami (OH) commit David Deleon, along with 2014 stud LB/TE Kevin Crosby. Halmon continues to shine on a team loaded with stars and schools are taking more notice.

"I've been getting more mail from North Carolina State on a daily basis. There are also some more new schools that are showing a lot of interest in me like Minnesota, Virginia, and Duke."

The 2013 standout told us about his junior season to this point too.

"It has been pretty good. I'm third on the team in tackles. I have like 26 tackles so far and I have 2 forced fumbles. I haven't planned any visits yet, but I'm going to make it up to some Clemson and Carolina games this year. Hopefully I can make it up to some other schools games too."
