Reggie Thomas Profile

The Abbeville Panthers continue to roll in 1A play after winning a state championship last season. One of their top defenders, cornerback Reggie Thomas, has picked up another pair of offers recently bringing his total to four offers now.

"I have been offered by Gardner-Webb and North Greenville recently," Thomas told us.

Thomas already held offers from Wofford and Newberry prior to his most recent offers. "Lately recruiting been kinda slow because of the season but Furman has been coming at me strong. Gardner-Webb and Wofford are also recruiting me hard too."

Apparently some new schools are making their interest known as well and the 2012 prospect shared those with us as well as a pair of schools he'd like to hear more from in the future.

I'm picking up interest from North Carolina and Tennessee lately also. I wanna hear from Appalachian State and Georgia Southern soon too."

Really focused on his senior season in hopes of helping Abbeville repeat as state champions and maintaining his outstanding 4.095 GPA (current as of last year) Thomas hasn't had an opportunity to sit down and set up visits yet.

"I've only visited one school so far and that was Wingate. I went up there with Ashton Heard and Rod Marshall. It was pretty good."

So far during his senior season Thomas says he's made 23 tackles, 8 pass break ups, and had a tackle for loss.

We will continue to track Thomas' recruitment as schools will undoubtedly continue to track him heading down the stretch.
