This past Friday 2012 Hanahan High wide receiver Chris Brown took the field again for the first time since breaking his collar bone in the season opener. Many prospects would show some signs of rust or be a little out of sync, that just wasn't the case for Brown though. We caught up with him as he talked about his first game back from injury and his second trip to South Bend to see Notre Dame host the USC Trojans.
"I had my first game back tonight. I had 6 catches for 127 yards and 4 touchdowns," Brown told us Friday night.
It wasn't long after that Brown says he was on the road to visit Notre Dame for a second time. Brown verbally committed to the Irish a while back but backed off the pledge a little shortly thereafter.
Although the Fighting Irish lost the game to USC 31-17 it was definitely a greatly positive trip for Brown and his family.
"It was tight! My parents came this time with me. They were all excited too and I got to talk to some really good guys, other Notre Dame commits and stuff."
So where does Brown stand currently with his recruitment after committing and reportedly backing off some time afterwards?
"I'm still committed to Notre Dame."
The coaching staff had plenty to say to Brown as well after learning of his play on Friday night upon returning to the field.
"They said they are excited because they can see where they can use me when I get here and they can't wait to get rolling with me."
With that being said expect to see Brown go out and try to pick up where he left off last Friday night to help prepare himself for the rigors of trying to get on the field as a freshman for the Fighting Irish.
SCPrepNation.com will have more update with Brown as he hopes to close his high school career out strong for Hanahan High School.
