Devaris Brunson has big game in playoff loss

Already pegged as one of the top prospects in South Carolina for the 2013 recruiting class Lake City's Devaris Brunson only justified those sentiments with a big time performance against Hanahan on Friday. Although his team came up short Brunson had a great all-around showing and should be fielding more offers during the offseason heading towards his senior season next year.

Devaris Brunson Profile

Friday night saw Lake City fall in the AA playoffs to Hanahan 42-18 but it's evident that 2013 Lake City linebacker Devaris Brunson left it all out on the field. Already touted as one of the Palmetto State's top junior prospect Brunson did nothing but solidify that status on Friday. In fact, he did it showcasing his talents on both sides of the ball for his Lake City squad.

Defensively Brunson was his usual ballhawking self finishing the night with 10 tackles, 3 sacks, and a forced fumble. He was just a instrumental for the Lake City offense as he scored 2 touchdowns on runs of 60 and 74 yards.

Already hearing from many of the top colleges in the southeast region expect Brunson to start picking up some offers this off season heading into his senior year. We'll speak with him for an update soon to see just where things stand with his recruitment so keep it right here with SCPrepNation.com!
