A few seasons ago Bamberg-Ehrhardt High School featured a running back named Demetrius Williams who picked up a bunch offers. Now there's another BEHS running back named Demetrius who just picked up his first offer and his name is Demetrius Odom.
Odom played a vital role in the Red Raiders' two headed monster at running back with Chip Wannamaker. One D1 school loved his film and has already stepped up and offered him early this week.
"Demetrius Odom just got his first offer. He's a 2013 running back who's 6'1 195 pounds and runs a 4.57 second 40 yard dash. Miami of Ohio offered him," Bamberg assistant coach Corey Crosby told us.
The Redhawks have been making South Carolina a pipeline for their recruiting each season. In the 2012 recruiting cycle they received LOI's from Bamberg's own DL David Deleon, Ridgeland DL Wesley Scott, Williston-Elko WR Rokeem Williams, Timberland CB Daquan Lucas, and Byrnes K Caleb Patterson. In the 2011 class they snagged RB Dawan Scott and WR David Frazier both of Irmo High School along with Camden WR Alvonta Jenkins.
Stay tuned as we'll go in-depth with Odom to talk about his recruitment this coming week.
